Booklet Cover Design Contest

The Japanese American Community Graduation Program Committee is sponsoring a design contest for the cover of the program booklet for the graduation dinner held in June.

This contest is open to all graduating high school seniors who:

  1. Reside in the Denver Metropolitan Area and are either American citizens of Japanese ancestry or American citizens whose legal parent is of Japanese ancestry or
  2. Are of Japanese ancestry residing in the Denver Metropolitan area who have permanent residence status (INS documentation) in the United States or
  3. Have a parent who is an active member of Mile-Hi Chapter Japanese American Citizens League, Simpson United Methodist Church, Tri-State/Denver Buddhist Temples, Denver Nisei Bowling Association, Brighton Japanese American Association., Japanese Association of Colorado, Nisei Veterans Heritage Foundation, Japanese Firms Association of Colorado, Longmont Buddhist Temple, or Fort Lupton Japanese American Citizens League.

Students may enter a design for this contest whether or not they apply for a scholarship. The design for this contest may be an illustration, photograph, graphic design, or a combination of these media.

There is a $100.00 award for the selected cover design. The winning design will be used for the graduation dinner booklet cover with acknowledgment of the winning design.
